Mottram Hall

My son and I had an all inclusive stay through our health insurance and we had a really enjoyable time. When we checked into the spa, the team were incredibly friendly and helpful. The spa facilities were very good and the lunch in their cafe was delicious. We had a terrace suite and the room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. It had a coffee machine and French doors opening onto the extensive and beautiful grounds, with a pond right outside our suite. The bathroom was huge with a shower and bath and the beds incredibly comfortable. As a lovely gesture, the team had left a goody bag of products that my son took home. It was his birthday and it really added to the day. The public areas of the hotel were plush, with chandeliers and open fires. We dined in the hotel restaurant. The food was ok to good. Had we had to pay for the restaurant food (it was included) I would have found it expensive for the quality. It was perfectly enjoyable but the standard didn’t match the prices. Breakfast was very good - high quality ingredients, attentive and friendly staff; all in all an enjoyable experience. The surrounding area offers some fantastic walks and quaint villages. Prestbury down the road has a good selection of pubs. The golf course surrounding the hotel is huge and a lovely place to walk too if you don’t want to venture further afield. We’ll definitely be back. I don’t recognise some of the poor reviews - don’t let them put you off because Mottram Hall really is a great choice for a short break.

Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable experience.

It can't be anything but a 5* for our stay at Mottram Hall. Everything was amazing from the greeting at arrival, the tote bag with our dressing gown, towel and flip-flops, right through to checking out the next day. The spa area is so serene and relaxing and staff were about all day cleaning wet floors, topping up the iced water and genrally ensuring everything was perfect for guests. We both had 50 min Upper Body Bliss massage (heaven) and after that was a delicous lunch, then back to the Spa for the rest of the day. Our visit included a stay at the Hotel, with dinner, a la carte menu and buffet breakfast the next morning. We both left the next day feeling very relaxed and revitalised. 100% recommend this for a total treat.

Had an absolutely brilliant day at Champneys Health Club at Mottram Hall. Me and my friend came for a much-needed break and the whole experience felt calm, friendly and really well looked after from the moment we arrived. The reception staff were genuinely lovely warm welcome, clear guidance, and just a really nice energy to start the day with. A special shoutout to Joel from the gym, who was great to chat to and honestly went above and beyond. He even gave us a lift over to the restaurant for lunch in the golf buggy, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the day feel that bit more fun. Also want to mention the lady doing the pool tests throughout the day she was so pleasant, friendly, and just brought a good vibe every time she passed by. Really appreciated the light, easy conversation and how upbeat she was despite being in and out all afternoon. All in all, a fantastic experience. We left feeling relaxed, cared for, and already talking about when to come back. Highly recommend. Warmly, Chris

Great location, food was fantastic, spa was perfect. The only thing that stopped a 5⭐ review was it's needs a bit of TLC in places. Ripped seats at the golf club bar, ceiling in spa was in need of repairs and our room needed repairing too. Staff were happy to help

A breathtaking venue with timeless charm. I recently captured wedding content at Mottram Hall, and the light, architecture and surrounding grounds made every moment feel cinematic. The Bridal Suite option is also stunning and perfect for getting ready in with your Bridal Party! The staff were calm, welcoming and wonderfully organised — a dream to work alongside :)

Family of 10 attended Christmas lunch with Santa which was superb, The room was decorated so beautifully and staff wonderful. The entertainment for the children was so good and the food delicious. The children loved the afternoon especially the visit from Santa. The whole event was organised so professionally by the Events team to Start to finish. Well done to the Events Team.

Fantastic venue. We had a 2 day golf event here. The course and facilities were fantastic. The breakfast was great and the evening meal very good. It has a separate area for the golfers to eat and drink which overlooks the gold course (although breakfast area is shared with the hotel). A few used the spa area which they said was very nice. Service was good.
